She’s about to embark on the mother of all election campaigns, but US Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton managed to take some time out from politics to meet her new grandson Aidan. Doting grandma Hillary and her husband, 32 former President Bill Clinton, were all smiles as they cuddled the latest addition to their family (above right) before accompanying daughter Chelsea, 36, when the glowing mum of two left New York City’s Lennox Hill Hospital with the new baby and her husband, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, 38, at her side (above). Aidan, who was born over Father’s Day weekend, is the second child for the couple, who already have a 21-monthold daughter, Charlotte.
Bill, 69, tweeted: “Aidan has made two dads very happy this Father’s Day. Hillary and I are thrilled for Marc and Chelsea!”
Democrat Hillary, 68, who hopes to beat Republican Donald Trump to the White House later this year, believes being a grandmother would make her a better leader. “Having that next generation right there and thinking about everything you want to do both personally but, in our cases, publicly and professionally, to give that child the best chance in life to be all he or she can be, that is profoundly moving to me,” she said.
